This is a personally run site that organizes official statistics published by the Japanese government and ministries, together with related TSE 33 industry sectors, as facts (published values, year-on-year change, moving averages) and structure (related sectors and why).

It does not provide forecasts or buy/sell judgments. Only official statistics whose terms of use have been checked are used, and each page shows the source and the processing applied.

The name FirstRelease Japan refers to the value of a statistic when it is first released. Many official statistics are revised later, and past values are rewritten. This site keeps the values visible on each day it fetches the data, so that you can trace what was known when a figure was first published.
